They designed the Gabarraa cabin, and are our official booking partner.
What to Bring

Is there WiFi and phone reception at Gabarraa?
You’ll have phone reception, though coverage varies by provider. There’s no WiFi here, and so it’s a beautiful opportunity for a digital detox.
How does solar power affect electricity use?
Our solar setup provides ample power for your stay. There are power outlets for charging your devices.
What is Gabarraa’s cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change.
Payment is taken 100% upfront.
For cancellations made 29 days or more before your stay, we’re happy to reschedule or provide a voucher.
For cancellations within 10 days of arrival, a 50% refund is offered.
All refunds incur a 2.5% processing and administration fee.
Re-bookings are subject to availability.
How secluded is the property?
At Gabarraa, you’ll have total privacy – no neighbours in sight, only 360-degree views of rolling hills and open skies. Occasionally, curious cattle may wander by, but that’s about as social as it gets.
Do I need a 4WD to access this property?
No, you can access Gabarraa with any 2WD car. The car park is just 5 metres from the front door so you can park easily and transfer your luggage.
Is Gabarraa suitable for babies?
Newborns up to 6 months are welcome, but we’re not suited to babies who are crawling or walking. We want to accommodate new parents as best we can, so please reach out if you’d like to discuss bringing your baby.
Does it get hot in summer and cold in winter?
The region experiences distinct seasons, so the climate will be hot in summer and cold in the winter (our high country winters are especially popular for visitors!).
The cabin is designed to keep the temperature stable at any time of year. Features like double-glazed windows, louvres for cross-ventilation and double insulation will keep you cool in summer and cosy in winter.
Is there a fireplace?
Yes! We’ve included a beautiful wood-burning fireplace from Nectre to keep the cabin warm and provide a beautiful ambience for you. Kindling and firewood are provided.
Is there a hot tub?
Yes, we have a unique wood-fired hot tub! Please wash off before you hop in, and make sure your skin is free of oils, lotions or tanning products.
What is your smoking policy?
Gabarra is non-smoking.
What is your pet policy?
Pets are not permitted at Gabarraa. We know pets are family, but the property and wildlife aren’t suited for four-legged visitors.
What should I pack?
Bring everything you’d take for a peaceful nature escape: sunscreen, insect repellent, weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, a torch, and, of course, your favourite foods and drinks to enjoy. You’ll find a bar fridge and basic condiments in the cabin.

When is Check-In and Check-Out?
Check-in is at 3 pm, and check-out is by 10 am. Please respect these times to allow our team to prepare the space.
Before you leave, we ask you to kindly:
Wash and put away dishes,
Take any rubbish with you,
Secure the cabin by locking the door, returning the key
Close the farm gate behind you
Can I have extra visitors?
Gabarraa is designed for two guests only. Please share the experience with friends and family by letting them know how they can book their own stay at Gabarraa.
